Fall Bash!

Despite what so many believe, homeschool is so much fun! It can definitely be exhausting and challenging, but it is so worth it. I like to make things fun, and change things up every now and then. With it being fall, we decided to do a fall bash! We did a craft, a science experiment, games, and of course baking.

We started our day off with pumpkin painting. It is so fun seeing the kids creativity come out. Each piece of art, depicting each child's personality. I love all things art, so this is one of my favorite things to do with them.

The next thing we did, was learn how to make pecan pie. Each kids got to make their own individual pie. The results were delicious! Teaching kids to make a fun treat is fun for all. Cooking can bring out smiles and laughter, making the kitchen a special place filled with memories that will last a lifetime.

Before we began to play games, we conducted a science experiment. We placed 4 candy corn candies in 4 cups. In each cup we poured different kinds of liquid in them to see what the chemical reaction would be. It was definitely interesting to see the results, both for the kids, and the adults.

We finished the day off with games. Games are always fun, especially if you get to earn some candy while doing it. This is always the best way for the parents to get a good laugh when a game like twister is involved. We also set up a large plastic bowling set. The kids had fun earning a piece of candy for each pin the knocked over. Teaching them to encourage one another as they did there best and the room erupting with excitement when someone would succeed, is one of my favorite sounds.

Be encouraged my friends. I know times are hard right now, but that just means we need to get creative. Getting creative and having fun is not just for the kids, but for us adults as well. It is always good to get the healing power of laughter running through our veins, and building the relationships we have, to a deeper level. Laughter, creativity, and pure fun is just as important as all the other stuff. I am so blessed to have the support group I have. Being able to grow and learn from them, makes my life so much better. Be blessed my friends, and throw some fun into the mix. You wont regret it.
