Sweet Basil Rub

I have truly enjoyed trying the new seasonings my TasteBuds subscription has sent me. Tonight, we used the Sweet Basil Rub. It was so flavorful and loved by not only the adults, but the children as well. I got six chicken thighs, and marinated them in olive oil and the Sweet Basil Rub for approximately 3 hours.

My Deluxe Electric Grill and Griddle has become one of the most used tools in my kitchen. It is perfect for eggs, bacon, pancakes, waffles, grilled chicken, paninis, grilled tortillas, fajitas, and so much more! I absolutely love it!

Tonight, it was used to cook our delicious Chicken thighs. I know, some prefer chicken breast but I personally love the flavor of the dark meat. I turned the dial on the griddle to the grill setting. The chicken took approximately 25 to 30 minutes to cook. I cooked the chicken until it reached the internal temperature of 165 degrees.

One of my favorite features of the griddle, is you can adjust the top to hover over the meat so you can melt cheese without it touching the top. Making it great for making flatbread pizza! For this dish, I put slices of mozzarella cheese on top, hovered to griddle on top melting it to perfection. I love that I don't need to transfer the dish to the oven.

The chicken was delicious, especially when served with freshly sliced tomatoes, fresh basil, and roasted asparagus. It was so mouth watering that it will now be on our families favorite dishes.
