I love finding random ingredients in my fridge and pantry to make a meal. It makes it fun and exciting. With it being cold outside I decided to make some warm soup. I sautéd 1 chopped onion, 2 sliced carrots, 1/4 cup of chopped celery leaves, and 4 sliced cloves of garlic in a large pot. When the carrots became tender, I added 8 cups of water, 2 pork bones, 1 bag of lentils, a dash of paprika, and a tablespoon of Better Than Bouillon (chicken flavored) to the pot. I let this simmer for 2 hours. Then, I took the pork bones out and pulled off the meat. I put all the meat I can find back in the soup. It was so flavorful, delicious, and easy!
