Farmer's Pie!

Hello my lovely readers! I know it has been a while, and I do apologies for that. Life has been so busy, but I am back!

Homeschool has been going great this year! We have been using a new curriculum called BJU. It has truly been a game changer, and my kids are loving it so much. If you are looking for a good curriculum that also brings in the word of God, I strongly recommend it.

Now, I am so excited to share with you a new recipe I created this evening! It was so good and requested to be made again. I have also been told that I need to write the recipe down. When I am told that, I know that it is a recipe I should share with you all. So here it goes.

You will need:

6 potatoes (skin on is optional) you can use left over mashed potatoes as well.

8 ounces of cream cheese

1/2 cup of cheddar cheese

Salt and pepper

1 stick of butter

1 pound of ground beef

Creole seasoning

1/4 cup of flour

1 Tablespoon Beef “better than bouillon”

2 bags of frozen mixed veggies

6 baked potatoes (cooked them in the quick cooker for 16 minutes)

When cooked I added 4 tablespoon of butter, 8oz package of cream cheese, and a half cup of shredded cheddar cheese.

In the cast iron skillet, I browned 1 pound of ground beef, I seasoned it with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and creole seasoning. When meat is completely cooked, I add 1 tablespoon of better than bouillon beef, 2 tablespoons of butter, and around 1/4th cup of flour. When it’s all mixed together I add two cups of water. Once it’s all mixed together, take it off the heat.

Add 2 bags of Frozen mixed vegetables and layer it on top of the meat and gravy mixture. Then Layer the potatoes on top and cover. Place it in the oven at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Take the lid of and turn the oven to a low broil cooking until the top is lightly brown. Take it out and serve.

I hope you enjoy it as much as my family did. Be blessed my friends.
