Who doesn't love a perfectly moist Cornish Hen? I cooked my hens in a Pampered Chef Airfryer! It was super easy, and was cooked to perfection.
I marinated my cornish hens in a mixture of 2 cups of vegetable oil, 1 tablespoon of garlic powder, 1 tablespoon of onion salt, 1 tablespoon of rosemary (fresh or dried will work), and 1 tablespoon of thyme (fresh or dried will work). I allowed them to marinate for 3 hours.
Next, I used poultry string and made sure the wings, and legs were tied tight to the body of the hen. I then salt and peppered the bird, placed it on the wire wrack for the airfryer. I cooked the hens on the air fry setting for 10 minutes. I like to do this first because I like the crisp it gives the skin. Then, I continue to cook them for an additional 30 minutes on the roast setting. It cooked them to the eternal temperature of 169° F. They were a hit for the whole family!
If you are shopping for Air Fryers I strongly recommend the Pampered Chef Air Fryer. It is quiet compared to some, and has so many different styles of cooking. I have used the air fry setting, the rotisserie, roast, and reheat. With the fry basket I am able to make delicious french fries. I cook wings often and they turn out so much better in the Air Fryer. I just purchased the new skewer set for the airfryer and can't wait to try them! Below I have provided a link if you would like to look at and potentially purchase this amazing product!
